We are passionate and proud about our track record in supporting 16-24 year olds, many from disadvantaged or troubled backgrounds, in breaking through 'glass ceilings' by helping our learners to realise what they are capable of, and how to build their futures.
Often the positive outcomes of our programmes go beyond the career or educational ambitions of our learners, they can also help to build solid foundations in their personal as well as professional lives.
Our team is made up of experienced educators as well as industry professionals in order to give Novo, its learners and employer partners a wide depth and breadth of expertise.
Talon is a highly experienced finance professional, marketing strategist and business developer with a primary focus on growth engineering for early stage enterprise. After a long career in venture capital, previously as Head of Sales & Investor Relations at Mercia Fund Management, Talon has founded, financed or supported a wide breadth of high growth UK businesses. His passion is for building disruptive businesses that offer a step change in provision against established markets. Talon holds a BSc in Marketing alongside the CFA’s Investment Management Certificate.
Taj is an Executive MBA with over 25 years in growth, turnaround and equity/debt raises, coupled with hands on executive management and leadership of multiple start-ups and SME’s. His experience spans executive management of multi-nationals (operating in the UK, Europe, Africa and the Indian Sub-continent), small, medium and large scale re-financing, MBO’s, MBI’s, IPOs and consulting to top-tier blue-chip/Plc’s. Most recently, Taj has held several co-founder and director positions across renewable, power generation, biomass, childcare and digital ventures.
Gary has spent over 30 years working within the education sector, specialising in Apprenticeships and other work-based learning programmes. He has extensive experience in managing programmes with 13 years at Director level. He has worked for some of the UK’s leading providers including ReMIT, Ingeus and Interserve developing large employer partnerships over many years built on collaborative working. He has successfully led large multi-site and field-based teams, resulting in the completion of more than 50,000 apprenticeships during his career. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development and is totally committed to promoting and sharing the highest standards and developing others.
Georgia is a skilled Marketing Manager with over five years’ experience in various B2B and B2C sectors including early years, technology, accountancy, legal and retail. She holds a 2:1 in BA Advertising and Digital Marketing; her expertise consists of strategic marketing plans, social media management, Google Ads and paid social campaigns, content creation and website optimisation. Georgia implements innovative marketing and branding strategies that increase sales, drive brand awareness, and solidify customer relationships across both the Group and our venture clients.
As the Early Years Manager at Novo, Lauren has created bespoke curriculums for our traineeship courses to assist the development of Novo Training. Since 2011, Lauren has been supporting children, including those with special educational needs, in various Early Years settings.
After completing her Assessor’s Awards in Education and Teaching at Birmingham City University, Lauren has trained Early Years professionals to work towards their Level 1 to Level 5 qualifications.
Aaron’s expertise is geared around employability, he has a proven track record of securing sustainable employment for learners. He understands learners needs, breaks down barriers and builds a targeted strategy to ensure the best possible journey. He has previously worked as an Employment Coach on a Department of Work and Pensions provision, along with 10 years of training and development experience within the Armed Forces.
Tracey’s role within Pavilion Training is to assist and support all the various teams to complete accurately and in a timely manner all necessary paperwork to support the requirements of the rules and funding for all of our clients.
Michael joined Novo to support our accounts team across Group accounting and to help ensure that our clients under the Kickstart Scheme are paid in a timely manner. Michael has completed his AAT Level 2 and 3, with plans to continue his learning through to his ACCA whilst developing his practical experience and skillset through his work at Novo. In his spare time, he is passionate about football and currently plays semi-professionally.
Georgia joined Novo in the role of Client Services Associate to support our senior leadership team deliver training and staffing contracts, helping to ensure we meet, manage, and surpass our client’s needs. Georgia brings a broad range of experience to the team, from working in B2C and B2B roles to creating portfolios of her own work to pitch for funding and delivering independent projects.
Simon joined Novo to support our accounts team across Group accounting and to help ensure that our clients under the Kickstart Scheme are paid in a timely manner. Simon currently holds an AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting and is working towards becoming a certified Accountant. In the Finance Department, he is continuing his learning whilst developing experience and skillset through his work at Novo.
Rowshonara joins Novo in the role of Administrative Associate to assist our senior leadership team in all administrative tasks across the Group, helping to ensure we meet, manage, and surpass our client’s needs. In her spare time, Rowshonara is an avid gamer and writer, currently writing a novel which she hopes to send to publishers once complete.
